At Canussa we are committed to the use of fabrics that don’t originate from animals. We’re delighted to say we’ve been awarded the coveted ‘PETA Approved’ designation.
FABRIC FOR A CLEAN OCEAN
SEAQUAL is one of the most certified, earth-friendly fibers in the world. SEAQUAL® YARN is a 100% recycled material with full traceability (DNA tracer inside). It is a high-quality, recycled polyester yarn made from recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles and plastic captured from the sea. That’s why it contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the waste in the planet’s water. For each Canussa bag, we’ve used up to 10 plastic bottles, in essence turning used plastic bottles into a higher value, quality product, giving it a second life.
VEGAN ALTERNATIVE TO LEATHER
We believe in vegan and circular fashion, hence we are working on getting all materials used in our accessories highly resistant and of the highest quality; at the same time being recycled without having to use any animal fabric/resources. The fabric used for the exterior of our accessories is waterproof and has the appearance of 100% natural leather in a microfiber that is washable, light, ecological, and highly resistant, even against chemical agents.
