Georgina Vargas, Geo, is a trained lawyer that found her passion for natural stones and jewelry whilst studying at university. In 2004 she started to design. What began as a hobby, soon became a small business, GEO Designs. In 2008 while Georgina studying for her Master's in Corporate Law, in Chile, she entered her first international market, selling in stores in Santiago de Chile. At the end of 2009, she came back to Nicaragua, and in 2010 she ‘formalized’ her dream; she opened her small workshop, working with Nicaragua’s most talented goldsmiths and, has never looked back.
Fascinated by geometrical and asymmetrical forms, Geo’s modernistic designs find inspiration in architecture, sculptures, and modern art. Geo is one of Nicaragua’s most recognized jewelry designers, renowned for creating elegant, noteworthy designs, entirely hand-crafted in Nicaragua.

During the production, a group of talented goldsmiths brings to life each and every beautiful handmade piece. Each piece honors the ancestral traditions of jewelry in Nicaragua and celebrates this profession.
The exploration of practices that are environmentally friendly and community-oriented is an integral part of the growth and evolution of GEO Designs. This commitment to sustainability was reinforced in February 2020 when Georgina began creating her "Curvas" collection. Since then, all of her jewelry is made with at least 90% recycled silver, which contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions in our environment.
