Kuu means snake, and from that word comes “kuuka” which means “chaquira” and “offering”. The snake represents the earth, it’s origin and the ability to transcend.
Each piece is a favorite and each piece reflects a set of beliefs as deep as their cosmogony.
The interest to further enhance the work of our artisans stems from the love and respect we have for our roots.
Through KUU, we intend to re-signify the perception of Wixárika art in pieces with an aesthetic, cultural and social significance.
