Founded in 1948 by Lazaro Nielavitzky & his brother, Lazaro is a family owned business with more than 73 years of experience in traditional leather craftsmanship. It all started with the manufacture of goatskin leather gloves, a must for the stylish. The first collections already stood out for their quality and excellent finish, turning our goods into real craftwork. Lazaro's success was based on the faithful understanding of our customers' needs and taste, as well as on our timeless devotion to provide the best leather goods.
In the 1980s Jorge, Lazaro’s youngest son, joined the business. Jorge diversified the product by creating handbag, backpack, and wallet designs of the best quality. Throughout the years, and continuing today, Lazaro achieved top market positions in Argentina, owning stores in the most prestigious locations.
The passion & commitment for craftsmanship are values that Lazaro has handed down to Jorge. For which are now being passed on to his children, Josefina & Roman, the third generation. Josefina & Roman seek to intertwine the inherited traditional craftsmanship with modern designs, by refining & adapting classic Lazaro models into timeless pieces.
