From the beginning, we knew we wanted to create beautiful pieces that made women feel special. They had to be unique, bespoke even - a far cry from the overseas mass-produced jewelry that flooded the market. To create these handmade gems, we needed a super-skilled group of artisans, so we found and developed our tribe.
For the past 13 years, we have worked hand-in-hand with local, non-profit organizations to train and employ resettled refugees. These are women who have come to the U.S. legally to start new lives, many after experiencing horrific trauma and loss. Part of the process of healing and rebuilding, comes from the self-reliance developed through employment. By learning a new skill, these women bond together, help support their families and quietly rebuild hope. Today, we work with the Mahima Project through Thrive International located in Spokane, Washington to continue this work.
