Cara and Rachel, a mother-daughter team, started SORI in 2016. SORI is a Whole-Garment specialty knitwear brand that crafts simple yet elegant clothing for all mothers and daughters. Through clean silhouettes and neutral tones that capture elegance and finesse, we bring to you a collection of timeless style. SORI (so-ree) means “sound” or “voice” in Korean and it inspires us, delightfully, to be the sound or voice that moves, progresses and enlightens many. SORI is Rachel's Korean name. The Whole-Garment technique is a knitting technique that adopted 3D printing technology to create a unique construction method that knits garments entirely in one piece. It isn't your typical cut-and-sew method of construction – there are no seams. Without seams, garments will contour and shape to the natural form of the body, allowing more freedom in movement and comfort for the wearer. This new method of clothing construction can cut down on production waste that would usually occur in the cut-and-sew method and ultimately open sustainable ways to make clothing.
