When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a designer? 

It may sound cliché, but ever since I was little I wanted to be one of two things: a professional cart wheeler, or a designer… only one of those things I actually worked out!

What was the biggest rookie mistake you made when just starting out? 

When we launched our website, we realized we had overlooked how we would ship our orders! We had nice pouches and romance cards, but we didn’t have mailer boxes or shipping labels. We scrambled to find a way to fulfill our orders and still make them pretty gifts for our new customers to open.

What piece of jewelry must every woman have to complete their wardrobe?

Every woman needs a statement piece of jewelry that takes her out of her comfort zone. Wearing something that is bold automatically makes a woman more confident.

What role do you think social media plays in fashion today?

From design to how your product is packaged revolves around social media. Before someone makes a purchase, they most likely scrolled through your Instagram or Facebook page for styling and testimonials. It has brought the ease of shopping to your fingertips.

How do you define fashion?

Fashion is an exciting recreation history and reality.

How would you describe your personal style?

I love to get dressed up and layer on my accessories even if I’m just heading to the supermarket!

Where do you draw inspiration from for your designs?

Inspiration comes from everywhere. We could be walking down the street or walking into a hotel lobby and fall in love with different shapes and colors. Sometimes we will start with a color swatch and the feeling that it gives will influence the design. 

Are you passionate about something other than fashion?

I love to travel. Experiencing different cultures and wandering around new cities expands your mind and soul. It’s also fun to see how people around the world accessorize. Every city has their own trends and sense of fashion that makes them unique.

What is your favorite part about being a designer?

When we design new collections, it is usually influenced by our own styles. Everything in our line is something that we would wear. The biggest reward is when people tell me how much they love our jewelry and how unique it is from everything else on the market. Designing for ourselves is actually us designing for everyone.

What is your favorite fashion trend?

Mom jeans. I hope they stay around forever!
