When did you know you wanted to become a designer?
It kind of just happened while traveling to Bali and first started making and designing things that we liked for ourselves.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in many places like high end fashion, vintage pieces, and traveling all around the world.
What is your favorite part about designing and owning Saudara the Label with your sister?
My favorite part of designing and owning Saudara the Label with my sister is being able to travel and design things together.

I love that I can create something that I love for myself and have other people love it just as much as I do.
What do you envision for the future of your brand?
In the future, our goal is to get Saudara the Label to be recognized as a worldwide company.
Do you have a favorite piece that you have designed?
The Amber Bag is my new favorite!
What were some hurdles you had to overcome in your business?
The biggest hurdle we faced while developing Saudara the Label was finding the right person we can trust to manage everything over in Bali for us.
What is the one piece of advice you would give to a new designer?
The biggest piece of advice I would give to a new designer is to try out using multiple suppliers before you stick to one. And, never give up because it's never going to go smoothly right from the start.
What is the most important thing you would like your brand to be recognized for?
We want Saudara the Label to be recognized for our cowhide bags!

What can consumers expect to see next from your brand?
Crossbody bags and fanny packs for travel and festival season!
If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career, what would it be?
Start out with one thing and perfect it until it gets big, then expand your brand.
What made you want to design bags and accessories?
I enjoyed making things for myself and my friends and clients ended up liking the things I was making too. I chose bags over clothing, so I didn't have to deal with different size options.
How has the fashion industry changed since you first started out?
There are so many fast fashion online retailers and many athleisure brands compared to before.
What brand values are the most important to Saudara the Label and why?
Having a strong connection with our workers in Indonesia and giving back to the community there is extremely important to us.
