The geometric pattern is inspired by Tunisian iconic ceramic tiles “Jneh Khotifa” in Tunisian dialect, meaning “Swallow wings”. These geometric tiles, bicolor on the diagonal are representative of Tunisian architectural heritage of the 19th century. In Japan, Kirigami is the art of cutting and folding. This technique inspired this fabric manipulation.
